Function | Lanthionine-containing peptide antibiotic (lantibiotic) active on Gram-positive bacteria. Macedovicin inhibits a broad spectrum of lactic acid bacteria, several food spoilage species (e.g. Clostridium spp.) and oral streptococci (Pubmed:23122510).
