Function | It is a small protein conserved in Firmicutes. It plays a role in activation of sigmaB response factor through the stressosome. Using LC-MS studies, several interaction partners belonging to the stressosome were identified like RsbR,RsbB and RsbR-like proteins. It is shown to be important for sigma B activation, bacterial growth following oxidative stress and for survival in macrophages. |
